All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== Surnames: Hogg, Wall, Stout, Doane, Payne, Foster Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/6428 Thomas Jefferson Hogg, son of David and Mary Hogg, was born August 27, 1878 at Stillwater, Wolfe County, Kentucky, and departed this life at his home near Leedey, Oklahoma, on January 22, 1943, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 26 days. At the age of fourteen he cane to Indian Territory with his parents where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Eunice Wall on October 7, 1897. To this union were born nine children, four daughters and five sons. In the year of 1906, he and his family came to what was then Day County, Oklahoma. He served Roger Mills County in the 14th and 15th sessions of the State Legislature, and was chosen to represent the 2nd district in the State Senate of the 17th and 19th sessions. He accepted Christ as his Saviour during his last illness. He was a faithful husband and a kind and loving father. He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Eunice Hogg, four daughters and five sons, all of them at his bedside at the time of his passing away: Mrs. Effie Stout, of near Higgins, Texas; Mrs. Nedll Doane of Peek, Oklahoma; Mrs. Lizzie Payne of Hammon, Oklahoma and Mrs. Ima Foster of Altus, Oklahoma; James and Hugh of the home; Bryan and Tommy of near Leedey, Oklahoma; and Ralh of Oklahoma City. Seventeen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
