All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames Hughes, Coon, Seago Jeannie Seago Hughes was born March 12, 1893 in Urbanna, Missouri to Laura Ellen and Douglas Shire Coon and passed away February 26, 1995 in the Briarcliff Health Center at the age of 101 years, 11 months and 14 days. Jennie moved with her parents to Guthrie, Indian Territory and later moved to Durham in 1901 before later moving to the Crawford community. She married Haston Seago on May 21, 1911 in Old Hamburg where they lived before moving to Cheyenne. Haston passed away in 1954. Jennie married James Thomas Hughes on January 3, 1961 in Springer, New Mexico and they moved to Cheyenne to make their home. Jim passed away in 1966. Jennie continued living in Cheyenne until 1987 when she moved to Tyler, Texas to be near her son. She was a member of the Cheyenne Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 1 great grandson, 2 sisters Dona and Maggie, and 3 brothers, Ira, Virgil and Ralph. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Pete and Lorraine Seago, Tyler, Texas; 1 sister, Elsie Wells, Reydon, OK; 3 grandchildren, Vicki Mansheim, Dallas, TX, Tim Seago, Tyler, TX and Kris Seago, Austin, TX; 1 great granddaughter Lisa Hamm, Houston, TX and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 1995 at the Cheyenne Church of Christ officiated by Willard Cox.
