Anthony Pennington officiating. Burial was in the Moorewood Cemetery under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home. Mr. Hughes was born August 6, 1907 at Cloud Chief, Oklahoma and passed away in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital on Sunday at the age of 70. He came to Roger Mills County just north of Hammon, Oklahoma in the early 20's. He worked in the oil fields of Wyoming for a few years. The last 15 years he has farmed the home place North of Hammon until his recent retirement. He is survived by one son, Wallace Hughes of Buffalo, Wyoming; 2 daughters, Mrs. Maggie Iberlin of Buffalo, Wyoming and Mrs. Jonnie Bea Carnahan of Sheridian, Wyoming. One brother, Hie Hughes of Moorewood, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Kate Harrison of Bellingham, Washington; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
