He was married in 1881 to Anne Marie Campbell. To this union were born nine children, two of which preceded him in death. He was converted at the age of 20 years and united with the Christian church and lived a devoted Christian life thereafter. In 1901 Mr. Hiatt moved to Roger Mills County where he resided two and 1/2 miles south of Strong City until the time of his death. He is survived by his devoted wife and his son, Murel K. Hiatt of the home address. Another son R.O. Hiatt of California, recently visited the father. The surviving daughteres are Mrs. J.L. Wells of Lamar, Missouri, Mrs. B.H. Hisel of Carning, California; Mrs. O.W. Cook of Lawton, Oklahoma, _____(can't read); Mrs. Walter Foster of Van Nuys, California; and Mrs. W.P. Crable also of Van Nuys, California. He also leaves to mourn his passing 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Mr. Hiatt was a loving husband and father and a true friend to all who knew him. He departed this life December 12, 1944 at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 12 days. Interment was made in the Strong City cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma after funedral services conducted at the Baptist church of that city by Rev. W.R. Trent and Rev. Beliew. Relatives coming from a distance to attend the funeral of T.W. Hiatt, Strong City, Oklahoma, were Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Hisel Culbertson, Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. O.W. Cook, Lawton, Oklahoma; Rev. Ray Allen, Little Field, Texas; and R.D. Hukill, San Diego, California. Others were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Taylor, Hammon, Oklahoma; Mrs. Lee Little and daughters, Wheeler, Texas; Mrs. J.P. Johnson, Mrs. Herman Johnson and Mrs. Hawkins from Elk City, Oklahoma.
