He was married August 21, 1969 to Una I. Denham at Liberal, Kansas. He came to Delhi, Oklahoma as a child, moved to Meridian in 1915, and to California in 1972; then to Sweetwater in 1957. He was engaged in ranching. He is survived by his wife of the home; Jeanne Marino of Watsonville, California; one son, Belo Hodges, of San Jose, California; one step daughter, Paula Sue Jones, of Amarillo, Texas; 8 grandchildren; one brother, Hobby Hodges of Springville, California; 3 sisters; Belo Puryear, Mattie Puryear, Dixie Price of Sayre, Oklahoma. Services were held Tuesday, May 29, 1973 at 2:30 p.m. in the Rose Chapel at Sayre with Rev. Alvin Hedin officiating. interment was in the Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
