Pauline Evelyn Haydon

PLAINVIEW - Pauline Evelyn "Polly" Haydon, 77, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Plainview Memorial Park 
Cemetery with Dr. Max Browning, pastor of First United Methodist Church, 
officiating. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Haydon was born in Hammond, Okla., and moved to the Plainview area 
when she was a child. She operated Haydon Shoes in downtown Plainview for 
many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She married Lavelle Haydon in 1941 at Plainview. He died in 1979. She also 
was preceded in death by a son, Larry E. Haydon; and by a daughter, Gayle 
Ann Haydon.

She moved to Clovis, N.M., in 1981. She worked as a foster parent in the 
Grandparent and Handicapped Children program with the Clovis public 
schools. She returned to Plainview in 1991.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Hair of Olton; and a granddaughter.
