Departed this life at Hobart, Oklahoma November 25, 1958. In 1895 he was united in marriage to Sarah Shultz at Norman, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 1938. Mr. Hill was an early settler, having helped to lay out the Elk City townsite. Later he moved to Strong City and homesteaded a farm where he resided for some 22 years. Moving to Strong city in 1927 he was elected mayor, serving for six years. He also served in the state legislature for one term. He maintained a produce business from 1927 until 1940. For the past four years he had been a resident of hobart, Oklahoma where he lived at a convalescent home. Survivors include four children, Clarence Hill, Dallas, Texas, Felton Hill, also of Dallas, Mrs. Lillie Harrison, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Mrs Lela Harrison, Boulder, Colorado; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by two children, Mrs. Ethel Hyman and Alberta Hill. Burial Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
