Allen and mother, Jimmie Irene Shelton Allen, was born on Monday, August 31, 1953 in Amarillo, Texas and departed this life on Sunday, August 7, 1994 at the Wesley Medical Center of Wichita, Kansas at the age of 40 years, 11 months and 6 days. Billie moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma in 1957 and then to Las Crusas, New Mexico where she lived for several years before returning to Cheyenne in 1961. Billie graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1972 and later attended Sayre Jr. College in Sayre, Oklahoma. She has worked at a Certified Medication Aide in several different places in the states of Oklahoma and Kansas for 20 years. She moved to Ashland, Kansas in 1980 where she made her home, except for the past five years she had been living in Meade, Kansas. Billie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and belonged to several bowling leagues. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. She loved to be with her nieces and nephews, and being a foster mother for the last two months. Billie was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Allen, July 10, 1994. She leaves as her survivors: step-father, Fred E. Allen of Ashland, Kansas; father Edward C. Hall of Smith, Alabama; four brothers, Eddie Hall of Smith, Alabama, Curtis Allen of Ashland, Kansas, Keven Allen of Wellington, Kansas, Fred E. Allen Jr. of Ashland, Kansas; one sister, Carolynn Moore of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; one step-sister, Debbie Charles of Emporia, Kansas; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 11, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. in the Spring Creek Baptist Church south of Sayre, Oklahoma with Rev. Charles Tatyrek officiating. Pianist was Janette Cornelius, and the solois was Sharon. Selections were "Rock of Ages" and "Farther Along". Pallbearers were Lynn Allen, Cork Allen, Carl Allen, Merl Hazen, Earl Webster, and Rodney Moore. Burial was in the Spring Creek Cemetery south of Sayre, Oklahoma under the direction of Myatt Funeral Home of Ashland, Kansas.
