Hall was born July 20, 1918 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Chester and Ruth Ann Hall. He passed from this life at his home in Leedey on August 3, 1989 at the age of sevent-one years. Kermit received his education in the school of the Stillwater area. On March 15, 1936, Kermit Hall and Opal Louise Lakey were united in marriage at Stillwater, Oklahoma. Two daughters, Jo Ann and Yvonne and two sons, Danny and Randy were born to this union. Mr. Hall was employed as Manager of various lumber yards over the state, for a period of many years. In 1973, following the death of his wife, Opal Ouise, he retired from the Field of Business and moved from McAlester to Leedey where he has resided these past fifteen years. In 1944, Kermit Hall was called into the service of his Country, serving in the Navy until receiving his Honorable Discharge at the close of World War II. In 1979, Kermit Hall and Johnie Mae Morlan were united in marriage and have made their home in Leedey during the ten years of their marriage. In his early life, Kermit J. Hall, made his committment of Faith in the Lord and became a member of the Methodist Church. He is presently a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leedey. His most enjoyable interests were, his family, hunting and fishing and domino games. Mr. Hall was a loving husband and father, a proud grandfather and was a friend who was always happy to be of help whereever needed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruth Ann Hall, his wife, Opal Louise Lakey Hall and one grandson, Lynn Moore. He is survived by his wife, Johnie Mae Hall, of the home in Leedey and the following sons and daughters; Jo An Marion of Denver, Colorado, Yvonne Cowger of Leedey, Danny K. Hall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Randy R. Hall, of Denver, Colorado, Sue Moore of Leedey and Jim Morlan of Elk City; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Ann Holcomb of the state of Maryland, Vivian Sloan of Stillwater and Katherine Bilyea of Little Rock, Arkansas; one brother Keith Hall of Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral services for Kermit J. Hall were held Friday, August 4, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater, Oklahoma, with Denis Dicker officiating. Services were under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home of Leedey, Oklahoma.
