"Cotton" Holley will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the N.S. Griggs and Sons Pioneer Chapel officiated by Rev. Windell Taylor, Chaplain, VA Medical Center. Burial will be held at Sayre at 3:00 p.m. Mr. Holley was born in Duke, Oklahoma on September 28, 1927 and died Monday in amarillo at the age of 69. He married Jenna Lee Beck in Berlin, Oklahoma in 1953. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Sears in 1983 and the VA Hospital in 1993. He was a life member of the VFW and American Legion. He played the steel guitar for 35 years for Bob Wills, Roger Miller, George Jones, Willie Nelson and Elvis. Survivors include; his wife, Jenna Lee Holley of Amarillo, one son, Kent Holley of Altus; two brothers, Cecil Holley of Sun City, Arizona and Lavelle Holley of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
