All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Fairlawn Cemetery--Comanche OK Duncan Banner 08 May 2003 Wanda Lavawn Thompson Hill Wanda Lavawn Thompson Hill, 81, of Comanche died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike McCord officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Wanda Lavawn was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Corum, to William and Ida Trice Thompson. She married Earl C. Hill on June 30, 1941, in Walters, and they had been married 62 years. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker. She also worked in retail at Boggs-Stephens Department Store and other businesses. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bill Dale of Pearcy, Ark.; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sue Hill of Lawton and Greg and Pam Hill of Allen, Texas; a brother, Jim Thompson; six grandchildren, Chris Hill of Reading, Mich., Lori Turner of Houston, Texas, Mike Hill of Round Rock, Texas, Dee Beatty of St. Louis, Mo., Eric Hanks of Louisville, Ky., and J.W. Dale of Pearcy; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
