Hambrook was born June 16, 1892 in North Dakota and died at his home five miles south of Cheyenne, Oklahoma January 17, 1933 age 40 years and 7 months. He was married to Lillie Patterson June 1, 1921. To this union was born two children Virgil, age 10 and Lettie aged 9. Mr. Hambrook had lived near the Needmore school house for the past three years. He was always highly respected by all. He was a good neighbor, devoted father and husband. He died after a lingering sickness having suffered for the last ten months. He confessed faith in Christ before he died and told his loved ones not to weep for him but to be good and meet him in heaven. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, two children, a brother Tom Hambrook of Grimes, Oklahoma, also an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. N.G. Mathis of Sayre, Oklahoma and a host of friends. A large crowd attended the funeral which was consducted by Rev. J.D. Green at Dempsey school house. He was laid to rest in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Burial in charge of Littrell-Moore.
