He passed away November 25, 2002 in Great Plains Regionsl Medical Center, Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years and 10 days. Jesse was five years old when his family moved from Athens, Tennessee to Hammon, Oklahoma where he resided until his death. After moving to Hammon, Oklahoma, Jesse atended Pie Flat School and then Hammon Public School. On March 13, 1947, he was united in marriage to Frances LaDonna Ensey from Carter, Oklahoma. To this union, one son was born, Danny Wayne Hines. Jesse served on the Hammon School Board for ten years. He had attended Burns Flat School Vo Tech and completed a Reality course. He has been an active member in the Oklahoma Farmerds Union serv ing as representative to the state meetings. He was aldso a member of the Hammon Odd Fellows Lodge. Jesse was a farmer and rancher but had many hobbs, which included hunting, fishing, and his two wonderful grandchildren, Steve and Stefanie. He was preceded in death by parents, 2 sisterds, Leona Gilbert and Arvella Wallace. Services will be held Wednesday November 27, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Whinery-Savage Chapel, officiated by Stanley Baker and assisted by Calvin Fadenrecht and Daryl Moore. Burial will be held in at Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Survivors include: wife, Francis Hines, of home; 1 son, Danny Wayne Hines and wife Wanell of Hammon, Oklahoma; 1 grandson, Steven Don and wife Mindy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 granddaughter, Stefanie Dawn Sheilds and husband Rusty of Sentinel, Oklahoma; 1 sister Kayene Fullerton of Chickasha, Oklahoma; one niece, several nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
