Joyce had poor health from kidney trouble for a number of years which developed urenic poisoning from which she died. There seemed to be no time in her life when she didn't love Jesus. She worshiped Him with the sweet, perfect trust of innocencity, nutured by Christian parents. She took great happiness in attending church, Sunday School and League. Just a week ago she was with her class in Sunday School. Together with her mother she had prepared a song for the church service, but she did not live to sing it for us, tho' we have the joy of believing she will sing it sweetly now for our Saviour and that too, without (can't read a line) eternal health and happiness. She especially loved the songs, "I'll be a Sunbeam", and "Jesus bids us Shine." Her example of learning Bible verses and giving of her money to the Lord's work will be a beautiful helpful memory to her little boy and girl friends. Joyced leaves her father and mother, one brother, five sisters, and one grandparent, Mrs. Ida Conrad, besides many other close realatives to feel sad and lonely at the parting but with her beckoning hands to lead them heavenward.
