Obit for Harry Dale Henson

Harry Dale Henson was born October 29, 1936 in Reydon, Oklahoma to Velma
Grace and Oden Henson.  He passed away June 10, 2002 in Amarillo, Texas, at
the age of 65 years 7 months and 21 days.

Harry grew up in Reydon and attended school there until he enlised in
the U.S. Marine Corps.  He served his country during the Korean Conflict and
after his discharge he returned to Reydon.  He was married to Ava Lee Harmon
in Allison, Texas on July 7, 1957 and they lived in New Mexico and
Tennessee.  In 1969, they moved to Amarillo to make their home.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services were held Saturday June 22, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Chapel,
officiated by Jimmy Wallace.  Burial was at the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon,
Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral
Service.

Survivors include: his wife, Ava Lee of the home; one daughter, Valrie
Ruggles and husband, Todd of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Jerry Dale Henson of
Amarillo, Texas, Bobby Karroll Henson of Amarillo, Texas; his mother, Grace
Henson of Amarillo, Texas; one sister Edell Tedford of Amarillo, Texas; two
brothers, Donald Henson of Amarillo, Texas; Oden L. Henson of Dallas, Texas;
6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; host of relatives and friends.
