Funeral services were held Monday April 9, 1945 in the Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. in Cheyenne, Oklahoma for Lester Hunt who died in his home at Cheyenne April 7th, 1945. Mr. Hunt had been in poor health for the past year. His wife proceeded him in death several years ago. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dean Cross, Mrs. Merrill Lester and Mrs. C.W. Lester and two sisters, Mrs. A.L. Thurmond, sr., of Elk City and Mrs. Charlie Thompson of Cheyenne and a brother, D.N. Hunt of Clinton. 11-Apr-1945 ========= Funeral Held For Cheyenne Pioneer Funeral service for Lester Hunt, uncle of Mr. Fred Holmes were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Cheyenne. Mr. Lester was one of Roger Mills county's earliest settlers and had made his home in and near Cheyenne for many years. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Dean Cross, Mrs. Murl Lester, Mrs. Spec Lester all of Cheyenne, two sisters, Mrs. C.B. Thompson of Cheyenne, Mrs. A.L. Thurmond of Elk City and one brother, D.N. Hunt of Clinton.
