He passed away March 17, 2005 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the agee of 68 years, 4 months and 16 days. Bobby Jack moved to the Durham community when he was in the 5th grade and graduated from Durham High School in 1955. He continued his education at Panhandle State University before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Randolph from 1956-1960. After his discharge, Bob began his career in law enforcement in Hobbs, New Mexico with the City Police and later became a Lea County Deputy Sherirff for many years and resided in Eunice, New Mexico. He was married to Jane Cochran at Eunice, New Mexico on December 24, 1966. They later moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where he worked as a cattle inspector with the Okllahoma Cattlemen's Association and was commissioned through the OSBI. After his in tour in law enforcement he was employed with Roger Mills County driving a road grader. In 1977, he went to work as a pumper for Texas Oil and Gas Corporation (later known as Marathon Oil Company). Bob retired in 1999 from Marathon and became a Transport Officer with the Roger Mills Sheriff's Department on a part time basis. Bobby Jack and Jane loved riding their motorcycle and thoroughly enjoyed the people they met in their travels. He was preceded in death by hisparents. Survivors include his Wife, Jane Hindman, of the home; two daughters, Anne Trevino, Elk City and Gina Cheaney and husband Ron, Weatherford, Oklahoma; three sons Jack Hindman and Brenda, Durham, Oklahoma; and Mark C. Hindman, Canute, Oklahoma; and Bobby Hindman, Durham, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren, Damon Trevino and wife Chastity, and Summer Baker, Sarah Taylor, Sarina Baker, Shannon Baker, Ronnie Baker, Mark L. Hindman, LaTisha Burns, Audrfey Trevino, Tera Cheaney, Brandon Hindman and wife Kae Lynn, and Amy Hindman; 3 great grandchildren, Logan Grevino, Gavin Taylor and Kori Taylor, and a host of relativ es and friends. Services were held March 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Durham Community Building officiated by Ray Smart. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
