He passed from life February 19, 1974, at the age of 27 years. After graduating from the Cheyenne high school in 1965 Hugh Wesley went to Idaho Falls, Idaho to reside with his father Dick Harris and wife. While there, he attended Ricks College in Rigby, Idaho. During his residence there he was inducted into the church of Latter Day Saints in which church he held the ofice of Elder in the Priesthood at the time of his death. He blongs to the church in Clinton. In September, 1966 Hugh Wesley enlisted in the Air Force in which he served until discharged in May 1970. During his military service he spent one year in Viet am. Hugh Wesley was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Servive Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and the View Nam Service Medal for his service with the Air Force. On January 28, 1970 he was married to Kathleen Ann Lance. Together they attended Southwestern State College. To this union, a son, Shawn Elvert was born. At the time of his death Hugh Wesley resided in Elk City where he was employed. His survivors include his mother Bonnie Brady and husband Pat of Cheyenne; his son Shawn, Hays, Kansas; a sister Frances Ann Nichols and husband Terry of Talohga; two brothers, Richard Lynn Harris, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Phillip Lester Hills of San Diego; two step-sisters, Wy Dean Brady and Lee Ann Brady, both of Woodward; two step brothers Joe D. Brady, Cheyenne and Jerry M. Brady of Denver; three nephews, Kallen Wesley, Quinton Dale and Terry Bret Nichols of Taloga, and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Cheyenne, Thursday, Feburary 21, 1947, with Rev. Keith Reickman of Weatherford officiating. Interment was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son. Pallbearers were Tom Beaty and John McDaniel, Cheyenne; Tom Davis, Decatur, Texas; John Wesner and Danny Sprowls, Dallas, Texas; Stanley Daugherty, Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Harris and stepfather, Bud Hills.
