Officiating was John Andrews, Pastor of First Baptist Church at Vici. Barbara was the daughter of Earl Martin and Ellen Coreen White. She was born October 15, 1933 at Holdenville, Oklahoma. She passed away at her home in Mountain View, Kiowa County, Oklahoma at the age of fifty four years. Barbara moved with her parents to Tulsa in her early life, then to Eufaula where she completed her elementary education. The family then moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she completed two years of High School. In 1951, Barbara Ann White was united in marriage of John Tilmond James in Memphis, Tennesse, and to this union two sons, John G. and Thomas E. and two daughters, Terry A. and Joannie K. were born. In 1962, this little family suffered the loss of the husband and father, John G. James. Three years later, in 1965, Barbara White James was united in marriage to James Harrison in Atlanta, Georgia. They returned to Oklahoma and established a home in Mountain View, Kiowa County, where they were living at the time of Mrs Harrison's terminal illness. Barbara Ann Harrison accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour in her early life and was baptized at the age of fourteen years. Mrs. Harrison was a home maker, a loving wife and mother who enjoyed her home and family. She was also employed part time as a nurse's aid. Reading and house keeping were her chosen interests, and an enjoyable hobby was participating in and attending yard sales. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her first husband, John G. James, her parents, Earl Martin and Ellen Coreen White, two brothers, Earl M. Jr. and James R. White, and one grandson, Brandon Leatherbury. She is survived by her husband, James Harrison of Mountain View, Oklahoma, two daughters, Terry A. Turner of Vici, and Joannie K. Snyder of Buffalo; two sons, John G. James of Leedey and Thomas E. James of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one step daughter, Millie Sanders and one step son, Mike Harrison, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, one brother, Billy Joe White of Great Falls, Montana, one sister, Mary Alice Wiesinger, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
