Burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services. George was born June 29, 1957 in Elk City to Gaylia June and John E. Hartman and died Monday April 18, 2005 at the age of 47. George grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received his GED there. In 1975 he moved back to Sayre with his family. George started working for Anadarko Basin as a land man shortly before he was married to Brenda Lee Munford at Sayre on March 4, 1979 and they remained in Sayre to make their home. He attended Southwestern State University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. In 1995 he opened and operated Coast to Coast Home and Auto in Sayre. He attended the First Christian Church in Sayre. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda, his parents, John and Gaylia Hartman and one sister in law, Terry Hartman. Survivors are his three children: Brian Gene Hartman, Jamie Kaye Hartman, and Jessie Kay Hartman, all of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two brothers John Hartman and Bill Hartman and his wife Gail, all of Sayre; two sisters, Vivien Carlisle and her husband, Billy and Rosanna Hartman, all of Sayre, mother in law Bonnie Munford; sister in law Debra Triplett; brother in law Darrel Munford and 14 nieces and nephews.
