She passed away December 24, 2005 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 29 days. Lois attended school at Moorewood and Crawford, Oklahoma. She married Joe Wilson in December, 1932. They began their married life on the 4J ranch south of Crawford, and lived there until 1968 when they moved into Cheyenne. Joe passed away in 1970. Lois married Floyd Harmon on January 19, 1980 and they made Cheyenne, Oklahoma their home. Lois enjoyed quilting and loved people and toucfhed the lives of so many. She also loved her family and cared for them with joy. Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne, Sorosis Club, Roger Mills Historical Society, Red Rock Red Hat Society, active in the aging services thru SWODA and active in the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. She had received the Dean Krober Volunteer of the year award in 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, 1 son, Terry, 1 sister and 1 brother. Survived by her husband, Shorty Harmon of the home; 2 sons, David and Marilyn Wilson, Crawford, Oklahoma and Jerry and Charlene Wilson, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 3 Step-daughters, Mary Ann and Wilburn Lackey, Midwest City, Oklahoma, Janeice and Roy Carterman, Midwest City, Oklaholma and Sharon and Joe Muzarol, Midwest City, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Evelyn Jensen, Spring Valley, California and Virginia Chulufus, California; 13 Grandchildren, 23 Great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held December 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Jeff Hurlbut and Terry Beals. Burial will be Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services.
