He died in Cheyenne, Oklahoma December 24, 1936. Mr. Harmon came to Cheyenne in 1895 and has been a citizen of this county since that time. He married on April 5, 1903, Miss Edda Mary Redden. To this union were born seven children, four of whom survive their father. His wife passed away February 19, 1918. Mr. Harmon became a member of the First Christian Church in 1904. He lived and died in that faith. He was a good father, a good neighbor and a good citizen. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his departure three sons, Frank, Fred and Bert Harmon, all of the home address; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jo Venable of Pampa, Texas; three brothers and four sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. All of his children, two brothers and two sisters were in attendance at the funeral. "There is no death! What seems so is transition. Longfellow Interment was made Saturday afternoon in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by the side of his wife after funeral services conducted from the Methodist church with Rev. Carleton of the Baptist church and Rev. Hill of the Methodist church officiating.
