Hill, aged 50 years, husband of Mary O. Hill, who is a daughter of S. Shandy, departed this life May 1, 1910. He had been a constant suffer from a combination of diseases for several years, but found relief at last in death. While death in one sense is cruel, yet in another sense it is a blessing for it is the gateway into life eternal to those that die in the Lord, from henceforth. Yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors, Rev. 14:13. We are glad to know that this brother found peace with God before death took him from this life into eternal. He leaves a loving wife with sorrowful hearts, and yet she sorrows not as those who have no hope, for she has a Christian hope of meeting him in the world beyond through Christ, who giveth us the victory . Oh death where is thy sting; oh grave where is thy victory. Blessed be the Lord God who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. To the bereaved ones, look to him who has conquered death, hell and the grave. The writer of this sketch, B.G. Burns, who officiated at the grave, extends his Christian love and sympathy to them. Your Brother in Christ, B.G. Burns, Preacher in charge of Hammon circuit.
