Mrs. Hyman died Friday, July 1, 2011, at Integris Basptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on the family farm at Hammon March 6, 1934, the daughter of Cecil and Flossie Faye (Sketchley) Vignal. She was reared in Hammon, where she attended school and was active on the basketball team. After graduation from Hammon High School in 1951, she continued her education at then Southwestern State College Weatherford. While attending Southwestern she was active in the Kitawasa Club. On August 19, 1952, she married Weldon Harold Hyman in Clinton. They made their first homes in Port Townsend and Tacoma, Washington while her husband was serving in the Army. In 1953, they moved back to Oklahoma, where they settled and made their home in Clinton. Theyt owned and operated a Cities-Service gas station until 1962 when they became affiliated with Conoco and formed Hyman Oil Company. She was the first Lady school bus driver for Clinton Public Schools. Before they retired as a jobber for Conoco in 2001 they owned 17 gas stations throughout western Oklahoma. She was a longtime faithful, active member of the Church of Christ and colunteered for a local hospice. Her parents preceded her in death. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of the Kiessau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton. Survivors include her husband, Harold, of the home; two daughters, Sharon Buchanan and her husband, Buck, and Anita Hyman, all of Edmond; two sons, Buzzy Hyman and his wife, Gail, and Mike Hyman and his wife, Kim, all of Clinton; a brother, Wayne Vignal and his wife, Lorene of Hammon; six grandchildren, Kelley Buchanan and Kasey Buchanan, both of Clinton, Shane Hyman and his wife, Charla, Choctaw, Stacey Johnston and her husband, Brandon, Oklahoma City, Kernli Hyman and Jacota Hyman, both of Clinton; and three great grandchildren, Zachary Buchanan, Camden Hyman and Aniston Hyman.
