His parents were Frank and Lena Moody. He lived in Kentucky until he was three years old when his parents moved to the State of Tennessee, where he lived until a young man. He then moved to South Greenfield, Missouri, where he resided some 20 years, going from there to western Oklahoma, in 1915. He has resided in Cheyenne about 27 years. In his early life he united with the Primitive Baptist church, in which he remained a firm believer the remainder of his life. He was a kind-hearted unassuming man and had many friends. He is survived by a nephew, Tom Dean of Sayre and a niece, Lena Taylor of Reydon. The whereabout of his other relatives are unknown. He passed away March 20, 1945, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 20 days.
