The Reverend Richard Royal officiated. Interment was in the DeBolt Cemetery under the direction of Good Samartian Funeral Service of Shattuck. Clyde Calvin Jacks was born October 27, 2001 in Grand (Indian Territory) Oklahoma, to James and Glayds Wells Jacks. He grew up on the family farm south of Arnett, and atteded Arnett High School. Following his graduation in 1927, he attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, where he majored in engineering. On January 10, 1931, he married Pauline Sarah Martin, on the Jack's family homestead south of Arnett. They made their home in Amarillo, until returning to Arnett in 1939, to take over the family farm, following the death of his father. In 1955 he went to work at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, while maintaining his farming operation. He retired from Pantex in 1972, and continued his farming and ranching operation until 1993. He was an active member of the First Christian Church. He loved to play the harmonica for his family. Clyde also enjoyed hunting, and being in the great outdoors. His greatest loves were his family, farming and ranching. Mt. Jacks died October 23, 2001 at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 26 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Clyde is survived by his wife, Pauline; a daughter and her husband, Shirley and W.J. Armour of Ft. Worth, Texas; five sons and their wives, Jimmie and Jackie Jacks of Wichita, Kansas, Donald and Bonnie Jacks of Grove, Oklahoma, Larry and Lyndia Jacks of Littleton, Colorado, Harvey and Denise Anding-Jacks of Spicewood, Texas, and Steve and Marsha Jacks of Moore, Oklahoma; a sister and her husband, Lucille and W.J. Fellers of Amarillo, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
