Funeral services were held Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m. in the Crawford school with Rev. Lloyd Martin and Rev. Clyde Denny officiating. Born January 12, 1879 at Turdon, Texas. Mr. JOnes was married August 11, 1907 to Myrtle Thompson in Roger Mills County. He came from Texas in 1901 and had lived in Roger Mills County since. He was a long time member of the Baptist church. Survivors aare his wife, Myrtle, of the home; four daughters, Maye Cogburn, Cheyenne, Mrs. Fern Keahey, Crawford, Mrs. Avis Cobb, Strong City, Mrs. Alice Shay, Lawton; three sons, Tom of Amarillo, Texas, Chester of Kress, Texas, Hoover of Strong City; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Slater, Sherman, Texas, 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Pall bearers were Rex Kendall, Rusty Ellis, Orren Thompson, Hosea Leddy, Fred Aderholt, Clarence Hillman. Interment was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son funeral home Cheyenne, in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
