Jones, Jr., of near Leedey was recovered from a cistern on Monday of this week. According to reports Mrs. Jones did not come to death from drowning, nor were any bopnes broken. According to the attending physician death was probably the result of heart failure. The body was removed from the cistern by a neighbor, Roger Williams, according to information received. Mrs. Jones, who was 62 years of age, and the mother of 13 children, was alone at the farm home west of Leedey in Roger Mills County. The husband and one son had come to Cheyenne to pay taxes and attend to other matters of business. Another son, home from the Army, was expected home for dinner. According to information, Mrs. Jones had dinner prepared and bath water hot. It is thought that she fell into the cistern as she attempted to hang a strainer in its accustomed place over the cistern . Mrs. Jones was an aunt to Miss Ruby Broadbent and Miss Ruth Broadbent, both employees in the Security State Bank in Cheyenne.
