Lois graduated from Strong City High School in 1942. She was married to Virgil Kepley and shortly thereafter they moved to Oregon. Lois had retired from a banking job and has spent the past 17 years working as secretary for Tri-City Baptist Temple in Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Melvin E. Burns, Raymond S. Burns and one sister Hazel Nrell Burns. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Mickel and Norma Wiedrich, one sister Melba Ruth Boswell and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were held Monday, March 24, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at the Tri- City Baptist Temple. Officiated by Dr. Kenneth R. McCormick. Interment at the Mausoleum Entombment. The Portland Memorial Mausoleum, Portland, Oregon.
