The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Porter Steele Kimzey Porter Steele Kimzey was born June 10, 1903 at Strong City, Oklahoma and departed this life at the Veterans Administration hospital in Oklahoam City, Oklahoma Thursday, December 25, 1958, at the age of 55 years, 6 months and 5 days. At boyhood he moved with his parents to Fort Worth, Texas for a short while, returning to Strong City where he was united in marriage to Hazel Bessie Allen on April 27, 1923. To this union one son was born, Steele James Kimzey of Strong City. Mr. Kimzey made his home in Strong City until 1942, when he served with the United States Army at camp Chaffee, Arkansas. Following discharge from the Armed Forces he moved to California for 2 1/2 years, returning to Strong City where he resided. His mother, father, and an infant brother preceded him in death. Those left to mourn Porter's departure are one son, Steele Kimzey and family of Strong City, Hazel B. Kimzey of Elk Grove, California, one brother, Jim Colburn of Cheyenne, three nieces, 2 nephews, 3 cousins and a host of friends. Burial Strong City cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
