Kinzer was born in Tarwell County, Virginia on July 14, 1853, died March 12, 1923, aged 69 years, 7 months and 28 days. He was united in marriage with Alice Godbey on December 23, 1874. To this union were born 12 children, 7 girls and 5 boys. Of these two preceded him to the Great Beyond, 1 sons, Crockett Kinzer and 1 daughter, Mrs. May Davis. All those living were with him during his last illness except two, one son, James Kinzer and one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Whitt both of whom live in Virginia. Those present at the last were Ernestt Kinzer, Will Kinzer and Mrs. Rebecca Isbell all of Pampa, Texas; Everet Kinzer, Mrs. Dicie Lewis and ___(not legibl Kinzer of Durham and Mrs. Virginia Nice of Perryton, Texas. On the morning of the funeral the family received the sad news of the death of one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Fednno. The funeral was conducted by Bro. J.P. Hale of Durham. Mr. Kinzer leaves a wife and 9 children and several grand children to mourn his loss. A host of friends and neighbors have assisted in the care and sympathize in the suffering of him during his long illness of 70 days for which the family is very thankful. Mr. Kinzer brought his family to Oklahoma in 1905 and located on a farm near Durham and has lived there since. He was an exemplary and upright man, true tyo his friends and always ready to help in time of trouble and to rejoice with all who had reason to rejoice.
