W.R. Craig, Minister of the church officiated and burial was in Fairlawn cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, with the Stecher Mortuary in charge of all arrangements. Nannie Elise Borger, was born at Port, Oklahoma January 3, 1896, and died in the Woodward Memorial Hospital, Saturday morning following a three months illness. She married O.E. Davis and they lived at Cheyenne, Durham and Elk City before his death in 1944. On June j30, 1946 she married Ernest Kendall in Elk City and they have made their home in California since that time. They came to Woodward on May 28, 1970 and Mrs. Kendall has been ill since that time. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star. Besides her husband Ernest Kendall, Stockton, California, she is survived by six step-children, Elwyn Kendall, Stockton, California, and James C. Kendall, Midwest City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Florence Gray, Woodward, Mrs. Muriel Adams, Fresno, California, Mrs. Dorothy Summitt, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Louise Greteman, Roswell, New Mexico. Two brothers: Lacy Borger, Amarillo, Texas and Spence Borger, Elkart, Indiana and a sister, Mrs. Amy Sellers, Oklahoma City. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
