Kendall, died in the St. Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City Saturday following a short illness. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Heard and Rev. Fred Wooland officiating. Born July 21, 1922 in Elk City. Mr. Kendall attended grade school and high school at Reydon. In high school he was active in basketball, baseball, FFA and he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He moved with his parents to Sayre in 1940 where he attended Sayre Junior College and OSU Stillwater. In 1944 he was employed with the Soil Conservation Service and later assigned to Upstream Flood Control Service. In 1948 he married La Veda Schumn of Clinton, and they have resided in Oklahoma City the past 15 years. Survivors are his wife of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Aubrey (Belinda) Harper of Oklahoma City, one son, Steve Mark, of the home; 2 grandchildren; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Vern Kendall of Sayre. Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel.
