He took the Spanish Influenza about 10 days before, which was followed by pneumonia. Luther was 28 years old, and was universally known as a good honest boy. He was working for Frances Walker in the garage at time of his illness. The chances were against him from the first, as he had suffered for years with asthma, and his lungs were not strong enough to resist the pheumonia. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Kirksey who live just east of Strong City. He also leaves three brothers, three sisters and a wife and three small children to mourn his loss.
