She was 83 at the time of her passing. Juanita was born July 16, 1926 in Kildare, Oklahoma to Lee and Ollie (Smith) Edwards. She graduated from Blackwell Public Schools. On July 9, 1944 she married Buford Lee Kenney of Leedey, Oklahoma. They were married for 53 years and had two daughters, Marilyn and Sherry. Juanita was a homemaker for many years. She also worked in the cafeteria at the Leedey Public School and retired as cafeteria manager after 16 years. Attending church was vry important to Juanita. She attended Moorewood Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and led the congregational singing. She also attended First Baptiat Church in Elk City, Village Baptist Curch in Oklahoma City, and First Baptist Church in Edmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bufod; parents, Lee and Ollie Edwards; brother, Stan Edwards; and grandson, Lane Liga. She is survived by daughters, Marilyn McGlass and husband Allen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Sherry Liga and husband Dan of Edmond, Oklahoma, granddaughter, Lindsay Liga of Dallas, Texas, niece, Rhonda Kennard and husband Roger of Wichita, Kansas; and a host of family and friends. She will be truly missed by all. Funeral services were held Friday, February 19, 2010 at Vondel Smith Chapel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with burial following at New Hermon cemetery.
