Robinson Libby, daughter of Joseph and Naicy Robinson, was born September 23, 1851 in McMinn County, Tennessee and departed this life November 24, 1938 at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 1 day. On March 5, 1871, in Roan County, Tennessee, she was united in marriage to Charles O. Libby, Farmington, Phillips County, Maine. To this union nine children were born, six sons and three daughters, of which three sons and one daughter have preceded her in death. They immigrated from Tennessee to Pratt County, Kansas in September 1884, where they resided for ten years. At the opening of the Cherokee Strip in 1893, she and Mr. Libby made the run to their new home, which was located between Cleo and Ringwood in Major County. She lived there for 44 years or until the time of her death, having endured the hardships that only the pioneers know of. She was converted of the Baptist belief early in life and sets a good example of a Christian life. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles O. Libby, in 1917, sons, Ralph Robinson Libby, in 1917, Willism H. Libby in 1910, and John J. Libby in 1932, and her daughter, Mrs. Anna Moorehead in 1936. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons, Charles Y. Libby of Reydon, Oklahoma, Thomas R. Libby of Fairview, Oklahoma and James I. Libby of Ringwood, Oklahoma, two daughters, Mrs. Flora Young of Reydon, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Mary Draper of Ringwood, Oklahoma, seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. During her lifetime, "Grandma" Libby, as she was known, was loved by all who knew her. The hardships of pioneer life made her charaacteristic of making the best of things, no matter how difficult. Her friends were numbered by her acquaintances and she will be greatly missed in the community where she resided so long. Although she is gone the memory of her kind acts and deeds will remain. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
