Lively, were held October 26, 1979 at Shackelford Hall with burial in the Laverne Cemetery. J.C. passed away in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Anthony's Hosptial in Oklahoma City on Monday night, October 22, 1979. J.C. was well known in the area as the President of L. & L. Paving, the company in charge of the Washita River Bridge and new highway, J.C. was also in partnership with R.A. Lotspeich in L.L. Enterprises, ranching operations and extensive other holdings in Texas and Oklahoma. J.C. was known for his kindness and always a warm smile and a friendly word. He was born on October 26, 1925 in Lavaca, Arkansas. He came to northwest Oklahoma in 1947 and graduated from OSU in 1953. He was married to Barbara Terry on Novmeber 19, 1950. From this union was born three children: one son, Hugh, and two daughters, Connie and Linda. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, Hugh, of the home; two daughters: Mrs. Bennie (Connie) Rupprecht of Burleson, Texas and Mrs. Charlie (Linda) Williamson of Elk City; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ben Lively of Westville, Oklahoma; one sister Betty Anderson of Siolam Springs, Arkansas; three brothers, L.B. of Rosston, Arkansas, Sam of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and John of Hot Springs, Arkansas. J.C. was a member of the United Methodist Church in Laverne. Memorial may be made to the Methodist Childrens Home in Talequah, or to any charity of your choice. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
