Lippencott, Jr., 68, of Ellensburg, Washington, died June 24, 1990 at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital, Ellensburg. He was born in Hammon, Oklahoma, on January 15, 1922, a son of Charles and Mary Creach Lippencott. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard a destroyer-escort in the Pacific. He and Inez Hatley were married in Elk City, Oklahoma, on July 3, 1946 and they lived in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, until moving to Washington state in 1956 when he became involved in construction work. He was employed by Mid- Mountain Contractors, Inc., in Bellevue, Washington for 20 years. The family moved to the Kittitas Valley in 1976 to operate a cattle ranch in the Reecer Creek area. In 1980, they moved to the Nanum area, where they established a cattle ranch and later raised buffalo. He was a member of Kittitas County Cattlemen's Association, the Moose Lodge and was a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and a member of the Shrine. He was preceded in death by his father in 1974, by his wife in November 1989 and by his mother in June 1998. Survivors include: three children, Sharon Chalton, of Ellensburg, Washington and Linda Falkenhainer, of Woodenville, Washington; six grandchildren, Don and Tina of Ellensburg, Josh of Redmond, and Lisa, D.J. and Michelle, of Woodenville; and one brother, Bud Lippencott of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Funeral service was at 11:00 a.m., June 28, 1990 at Cotton Chapel with burial following at IOOF Cemetery, Ellensburg, Washington. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
