Interment will follow in the Red Hill cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Paul J.A. Lackey was born June 12, 1922 in the Herring Community to Leamon and Wash Stella Jones Lackey and passed away Sunday July 31, 2005 at the age of 83. Mr. Lackey served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Philippines and New Guinea. He was married to Gretta Faye Moler on January 17, 1950 and they dairy farmed in the Hammon area most all of their life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hammon and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and an infant daughter, 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Survivors include his children: Paulla Pierce of Hammon, Billy Wayne Lackey and his wife Lynn of Hammon, Kathy Thomas of Reydon, Debba Buck of the home, Curtis Lackey and Peggy Linville of Hammon, several grand and great grandchildren and one sister, Dorothy Griffith of Midwest City, Oklahoma Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 4-Aug-2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
