He came with his parents to Duke, Oklahoma in 1916 and was converted at the age of 16 and was baptized in the Missionary Baptist Church at New Hope, Oklahoma. Later he moved his membership to the Bible Baptist Church in El Reno. He leaves a wife of the home address in Oklahoma City. Two sons, J.H. Lawson of Irving, Texas, Winford Lawson of Oklahoma City, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Bob Williams of San Burandeno, California, four sisters, Mrs. Frank Turner of Turlock, California, Mrs. Luther Wyatt of El Reno, Oklahoma, Mrs. W.A. Amend of Erick, Oklahoma, Mrs. Roy Shelby of El Reno, Oklahoma, one brother Harvey Lawson of Lawn Dale, California, and a host of nieces and nephews. His funeral was conducted by Rev. Strickland in the Hahn-Cook Funeral home at 2 p.m. in Oklahoma City with burial in Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
