Obit for William I. (Bill) Logan

A former resident of Roger Mills County passed away in Gladstone, Oregon
September 20, 2002.  William I. (Bill) Logan was born March 6, 1901 in
Kansas and moved to the Roll area in Roger Mills County in 1912.  As a young
man he worked for the Sides family of Durham.  He married Marie Lindstrom in
December of 1932.  Later he farmed in the Durham community and was involved
in drilling oil wells in Texas. At one time he owned and operated a hardware
store in Cheyenne.

He and his wife Marie moved to Portland, Oregon to work for the
Caterpillar Company as a mechanic the latter part of the thirties.

He celebrated his 100th Birthday on March 6, 2001.

He is survived by his wife Marie of the home in Galdstone, Oregon, one
brother Tom Logan of California, and many nieces and nephews.
