Hoover was born at Jamestown, Cloud County, Kansas, June 30, 1890, and passed to her reward May 1st, 1945. She was married to Bert Emmerson in 1905. To this union three children were born, Earl Robert of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Bertie Dixon of Raymondville, Missouri, and Paul Harold who died in childhood. After the death of Mr. Emerson she was united in marriage to Ed Lozer, who preceded her in death in 1938. To this union two children were born: Bill Lozer who is now serving with the armed forces of our country in New Zealand, and Clara Ellen Bowers. Other relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Ella Zigler of Elk City, Oklaholma; Jim Lozer of the Dempsey community, Charlie Lozer and wife of Amarillo, Texas, Albert Hoover, a brother of Colby, Kansas, and Harvey Hoover, a brother and family of Dodge City, Kansas. A daughter of Mrs. Lozer's, Mrs. John Martin, of South, Texas, was unable to attend due to ill health. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was active when her health would permit. Her many friends spoke their appreciation of her by the beautiful floral offering; words of consolation were offered by J.C. Spurlin, with the Fatheree Funeral Directors in charge. Interment was in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
