The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== On July 3, 1907 in a half dugout east of Roll, Oklahoma; Nancy Lida and Alpha Thomas Leddy welcomed a son, Ollie Evertt Leddy to thier home. A little more than two years later on August 19, 1909 in the same community of Roll, Dicie Thomas and Henry Curtis Walker had a new daughter, Thelma Laverta Walker. Thelma and Ollie both were raised in the Roll and Five Star community and attended Five Star School. They were married on February 28, 1935 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They continued to live southeast of Roll before moving to Sayre in the early 1940's to make their home, where Thelma was a homemaker and Ollie worked at the Sayre Wholesale before working for Sayre Jr. College as a custodian from 1957 until his retirement in 1914. Thelma and Ollie always remembered their days on the farm and Ollie continued to raise cattle throughout his life. Thelma passed away on October 8, 1992 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 19 days. Just a few shor hours later Ollie passed away on October 9, 1992 at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 6 days, both in the Sayre Memorial Hosptial. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Ollie was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and two brothers. Thelma and Ollie are survived by thie son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Linda Leddy of Canute; four grandchildren, Deena Hunnicutt; Debora, Denise and Dean Leedy; one great granddaughter, Paige Marie Hunnicutt; Thelma;s five brothers, Orland Walker of Bend, Oregon; Hakell Walker of Pleasant Hill, California; H.C. Walker of Freemont, California; Terry Walker of Pottsboro, Texas; Jim Walker of Concord, California; Ollie's two sisters Seaneth Walker of Roll, Oklahoma and Minnie Hillman of Roll, Oklahoma; Ollie's two brothers, Lloyd Leddy of Galts, California and A.T. Leedy of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and many friends. Services were held Monday, October 12, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. with Tom Cooksey officiating. Interment followed in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
