She departed this life September 16, 1959, at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 18 days after an illness of 6 months. She was the second of nine children. She received her graade school education at Five Star school and attended the Strong City High School. She made a decision for Christ as her personal Saviour and united with the Methodist church while attending school at Strong City. She was united in marriage to J.T. Lacey of Strong City on February 17, 1924. To this union two children were born, Nina and Stoney. J.T. preceded her in death on January 30, 1937, leaving her with the responsibility of providing for and educating two growing children. She did this to the best of her ability without question giving them the love from a mother's heart. On December 18, 1942, she was united in marriage to W.O. (Bill) Hill and they established a home in Gainesville, Texas where they resided until her illness required her bing moved to Cheyenne hospital. Nona is survived by her husband, Bill, of Gainesville, her mother, Lida Leddy of Strong City, her daughter, Nina Payne of Cheyenne, her son, Stoney Lacey of Custer City, three sisters Mrs. Vida Archer of Sayre, Mrs. Scenith Walker and Mrs. Minnie Hillman of Strong City, five brothers, Ollie of Sayre, Loyd of pampa, Texas, Hosea, A.T. and Raymond of Strong City, granddaughters, Sparla and Charlene Lacey, one grandson, Ronnie Payne, her son-in-law, Virgil Payne, her daughter-in-law Joyce Lacey and a host of other relatives and friends. She accepted her illness and coming death with the dignity and humility of a Christian never asking why. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.L. Martin of Crawford and Rev. Paul Jones of Cheyenne in the Methodist church of Cheyenne in the presence of a large crowd of friends and relatives. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins of Cheyenne. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
