She passed away August 20, 2005 at Panhandle, Texas at the age of 95 years, 9 months and 27 days. Lena grew up in Roger Mills County and lived most of her life in Roll, Oklahoma. She was married to Gene Weeks at Sayre, Oklahoma on December 24, 1927. Lena and Gene moved to New Mexico before moving back to Roll, Oklahoma to make their home. After Gene's death in 1955 Lena continued to live in Roll. In 1965 Lena was married to Hosea Leddy and they lived in the Roll area. Lena was a homemaker and was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the local quilting club and she also lovedd working in her garden. Lewna was preceded in death by her late husband, Gene Wekks, her husband, Hosea Leddy, 1 daughter Pauline Beebe, parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her 2 grandchildren, Dennis Beebe and wife Sandra, Amarillo, Texas; and Danny Beebe and wife Sabra, Yukon, Oklahoma; a son- in-law Zane Beebe of Amarillo, Texas; 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Helen Minor, Pampa, Texas; and Elsie Pickard, Borger, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held August 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma officiated by Terry Beals. Burial will be at Silent Home Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
