Born January 25, 1885 at Richland, Kansas, the son of William and Mary Lutz, he moved to Durham, Oklahoma in 1912. He was married to Nannie Hensley at Cheyenne, Oklahoma April 6, 1921. He moved from Durham, Oklahoma to Mound Valley, Kansas in 1941. He farmed in the Mound Valley vicinity until his retirement in 1947 he moved to Mound Valley. Surviving besides the wife of the home are the three sons, Alfred, Heston, Kansas; Burl, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Cleo, Caney, Kansas; a daughter Mrs. Donal Frobe, Cherryville, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sutton, Lecompton, Kansas, Mrs. Bertha Simmons, El Dorado, Kansas, Mrs. Ida krouse, Topeka, Kansas; a brother Theodore Lutz, Durham, Oklahoma and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday Octobe4r 12, 1965, at the Mound Valley Methodist church with Rev. Arlin Peffey of Chanute officiating. Burial was in the Mound Valley cemetery, Mound Valley, Kansas. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
