Services were held aat the Cheyenne Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. George Frank officiating and was assisted by Leland Burch. Mr. Leitner was born February 6, 1880 in Crawford county, Iowa. He moved to Custer county, Oklahoma with his parents at an early age. He filed on land in Roger Mills county in the eaarly 1900's. Mr. Leitner was married to Flora M. Hundley January 25, 1914, who preceded him in death April 12, 1955. To this union were born four girls and one boy. One daughter, Linnie Jane, died in infancy. He leaves to mourn: Mr. John W. Leitner, Burkburnet, Texas, Mrs. Viola White, Crawford, Oklahoma, Blanch Darrah, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Mrs. Arlena Strickland of Amarillo, Texas; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers. Millie Weed ,Appleton, Wisc, Gladys Robertson, Rosic, Idaho, Paul Leitner, Bonora, California, Bob Leitner, Amarillo, Texas. Pallbearers were: grandsons, Virgle, Curtis and Eugene White, Bert Newman, Thomas Raff and Gayle Strickland. He was a member of the Church of Christ since young manhood. He retired in 1959 from the Family home in the Crawford community and made his home in Cheyenne. Commital was in the Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
