Linville were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with the pastor Rev. W.L. Magar and Rev. Horace Jones, Elk City, officfiating. Interment was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Edna Virginia Trent was born to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Trent at Sneedville, on March 22, 1905, and departed this life at Elk City, Oklahoma, June 11, 1951 at the age of 46 years 2 months and 19 days. She came to Custer County with her parents in 1910. She moved to Hammon in 1923, and was employed in the Hammon Telephone Exchange. At the age of 14 years she professed faith in Christ and was baptized into the membership of the Hammon Baptist Church, where she was a member at the time of her death. Her devotation to her church and her Saviour was manifested in her faithfulness in her church attendance as long as was possible for her to do so. She was married to J.E. Linville at Hammon, Oklahoma, Fedbruary 12, 1926. To this union three cfhildren were born. A daughter preceded her in death. She leaves to sorrow at her going, her husband, J.E. Linville; two sons, Elmer and Glen, Hammon; her mother, Mrs. Emma Trent, Los Angeles, California, three sisters, Mrs. Essie Elmore, Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. Ina Maxon, Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Arkie Moore, Los Angeles, California; four brothers, Roy and Parkey Trent, Los Angeles, California, Vance Trent, Lonhg each, California, and Glen Trent, Hammon, Oklahoma; a host of other relatives and friends.
