Leonard Mrs. Mamie G. Leonard, Sweetwater, died Wednesday Decmember 25, 1968 in the Cheyenne hospital after an extended illness. Services were held Saturday, December 28, 1968, at the Church of Christ in Cheyenne at 2:00 p.m. with Cecil Burch and George Frank, ministers, officiating. Burial was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Born September 7, 1896 in Kentucky, Mrs. Leonard was married September 4, 1921 to Foster Leonard at Elk City, Oklahoma. They came to Sweetwater in 1944. Mr. Leonard preceded her in death in 1945. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Aldena Farrell, Grimes, Mrs. Ruth Moore, Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Mary Miller, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Two sons Foster Leonard, Jr., Reydon and Jack of Sweetwater; Two brothers C.C. Short, Elk City, Ray Short, Fort Morgan, Coldorado; One sister Mrs. Ethel Goodsen, Wellington, Texas; Eleven grandchildren; one great granchild. Pall bearers were Ernest McGuire, F.H. Madden, A.B. Witt, Fred Harmon, Albert Nix, and Orville Robinson. Scroggins and Sons Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star,Cheyenne, Ok
