Agnes Fay was born October 1, 1928 on a farm north of Hammon to Mac and Sally Blaylock Mullins and died at the age of 74. She attended Hammon School and while in school married Wayne Lowry in Wheeler, Texas on September 28, 1946. They began farming on a farm north of Hammon and in the surrounding areas. Agnes began her nursing career aand became a LPN in 1975. She worked as a nurse for 18 years. She was a member of the Hammon Baptist Church. In 1986, the Lowry's moved to their present home northeast of Canute. Agnes is survived by her husband, Wayne, four sons, one brother, three sisters, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
